![]() ![]() TNP: Brian said your dad didn't do the shotgun-toting-father thing when they met?.I really have nothing bad to say about him even after a year (laughs). He's steering me in the direction that I really want to go in, which is strengthening my walk with Christ. GM: Honestly, it was his faith in God.TNP: You also just celebrated one year in a relationship with Brian (FGCU baseball player Brian Pruett). He's friends with someone down here in Naples, so he comes to visit often. I still keep in touch with (former Gators and NFL linebacker) Brandon Siler. But since I've been in college, I haven't been able to really form a bond with any of the players the past few years. GM: My dad keeps in touch with all of his players.TNP: Does the family keep in touch with any other of your father's former players?.God has a plan for him and he's going to figure it out. I try to shoot him a text every once in a while. TNP: Do you get to catch up much with Tim Tebow.I love that he can come home and take a step away from the football field and be able to talk about things outside of it. How was your day? You tell me about your day." Because he wants to hear about what we have to say. GM: It seems like he just doesn't want to talk about it.TNP: You guys would be happy to talk football with him just because it's so big in his life?.But he doesn't really talk about football that much with me just because I guess his family is kind of his escape. GM: I expected him to freak out a little bit more.TNP: How did your dad handle the injury to Braxton Miller? Was it difficult for him?.Even Utah and Bowling Green we always keep up with them. We always watch them and keep up with them. People think we automatically don't care for them anymore, but we love them. But the past schools he's been to, we still always want to see them succeed, especially Florida. GM: I'm always a fan of where he's coaching obviously. ![]()
